OCEC Operations Update
Okanogan County Electric Cooperative and Okanogan County Energy are continuing to work to provide you with our essential services. In respect of Governor Inslee’s COVID-19 pandemic ‘Stay Home, Stay Healthy’ directive, we are operating with additional health and safety protocols in place.
Our office was closed to the public on March 18th. We have scaled back our operations to essential services and emergency service needs. At this time the electrical engineering department will not be conducting in-person site visits and new construction projects are not being scheduled.
We are also developing additional options for staff to work from home. We will schedule a meeting of the membership later this year instead of the normal annual meeting.
Propane delivery service will continue but in-home service work is not being scheduled. Propane technicians are on-call for service emergencies.
Because we understand that many of our members will be facing potential financial hardship due to closed businesses and self-quarantine measures, we are temporarily waiving delinquent fees and pausing all disconnects for non-payment. Your usage and balance owing will continue to accrue so we do encourage members to pay what you can to avoid a large bill in the future. Our office staff is available to discuss individual payment arrangements. Don’t forget you can pay your bills online at www.ocec.coop (for electric) and www.okanogancountyenergy.com (for propane) or via phone.
At this time our office will be staffed Monday through Thursday 7:00am to 5:30pm, closed Fridays.

Change of Location and Time of OCEC Annual Meeting
(Membership is NOT Encouraged to Attend)
The Okanogan County Electric Cooperative Board of Directors has made the decision to change the format, time and location of the Annual Meeting of the Membership for 2020. An abbreviated (10-minute) Annual Meeting will be held at the OCEC offices on April 20, 2020 at 3 PM to conform to the by-laws. Membership is highly encouraged NOT to attend this meeting due to the health and safety concerns related to the COVID-19 virus. MORE INFO
